HopeWorks Station II is sponsored by the nonprofit Housing Hope and its affiliate HopeWorks Social Enterprises. The new development, a 67,000 square foot structure, will feature 65 affordable apartments dedicated to serving individuals and families transitioning from homelessness. The building will also house a training and workforce development center. For more information about the project and its sponsors, click here.
The Colby Avenue Youth Center, sponsored by the nonprofit Cocoon House, will provide services and housing for at-risk or homeless youth between ages 12 to 24 years old. The 32,000 square foot center will house a space for medical and counseling services for the youth, as well as support for families. The plans include 40 living spaces, divided into separate rooms on different floors; and there’s also a drop-in center with a kitchen, music room and computer lab.
