HumanGood and Living Care Retirement Community Announce Affiliation

HumanGood, California’s largest non-profit provider of senior housing and services, and Living Care Retirement Community, a non-profit retirement community in Yakima, WA announced today that the two organizations intend to join together in an affiliation to inspire more seniors to live their best lives possible.

The affiliation, once approved by regulators, will realize greater benefits for the combined organization with greater scale for greater mission impact. Both HumanGood and Living Care Retirement Community share similar missions as non-profit, faith-based organizations, dedicated to providing exceptional care and services for older adults.

The affiliation will also allow the combined organization to provide greater opportunities for career growth and advancement for team members, and add capabilities and resources typically not available to smaller organizations.

“HumanGood’s mission is to help people live their best lives possible, and we are excited to join with Living Care Retirement Community, an organization that shares our same beliefs,” said John Cochrane, president and CEO of HumanGood. “Our united organization will continue supporting older adults in living lives of purpose and meaning from California to Central Washington and beyond.”

Once the affiliation is complete, HumanGood CEO John Cochrane will assume leadership of the united organization.

“Living Care Retirement Community will continue to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of seniors by providing ministry, housing and aging services in Central Washington,” said Calvin Groenenberg, executive director. “This affiliation will help us continue our mission well into the future.
