HumanGood continues to grow through the addition of Maple Village in Philadelphia

July 11, 2024—HumanGood is excited to announce the addition of a new affordable housing community in the Philadelphia region. Center in the Park selected HumanGood as their partner to refinance and complete renovations of Maple Village, an affordable housing community serving adults 62 years and older in Germantown. The four-story community consists of 64 one-bedroom and six two-bedroom apartments ranging from 582 to 785 square feet.

Center in the Park is a nationally accredited membership-based senior center that focuses on social services and events for older adults. Based in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Center in the Park recognizes the need for quality affordable housing and services for seniors. This partnership between HumanGood and Center in the Park will bring new renovations to the interior and exterior spaces and promote engaging programming to ensure residents live their best lives possible.

“We have been working with Center in the Park and their Executive Director, Renee Cunningham, for almost four years,” says Vidhi Anderson, vice president of development at HumanGood. “We recognized early on that both organizations share the mission and vision to serve seniors by providing modern, energy efficient and service rich housing. We look forward to working together to make improvements to Maple Village,” she adds.

Maple Village is conveniently located minutes from Interfaith House in Germantown, another HumanGood community. The two have an eight-acre park in between them, providing a serene greenspace for residents.

“The close proximity between Maple Village and Interfaith House will enhance programming and form an even bigger sense of community,” says Kendra Roberts, vice president of operations at HumanGood. “We are thrilled to work with the residents of Maple Village and encourage them to live their best lives possible.”

HumanGood manages 36 affordable housing communities in Philadelphia and 101 communities nationally.
