HumanGood secures funding for new affordable housing community in Pennsylvania

August 1, 2024 -- Thanks to additional funding secured through the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency, HumanGood’s newest affordable housing community, Ardmore House II, will finalize development and create new homes for seniors in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.

Ardmore House II will feature 48 apartments for seniors age 62 and over in Montgomery County, PA. This project is currently in the preliminary phase of development and is expected to start construction in the spring of 2025, with units being available beginning in the fall or winter of 2026.

The project is made possible through a partnership with Genesis Housing Corporation and collaboration between Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, and HumanGood.

Funding for this community came from a $1.4 million federal tax credit through Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency translating to $13.2 million in equity. This fills the final gap in the project budget. The project also has a $7 million funding commitment from the Lower Merion Township and Montgomery County. More information will be shared as it is available at www.humangood.org/affordable-housing.
