Mary Miller has joined HumanGood as our new vice president of innovation and experience design.
This is a new position in our organization and it reflects our winning aspiration (how we will win with customers and against our competitors): to be the leading innovator in delivering enriched and engaged experiences with optimal health and measurable life fulfillment to those we serve.
The position will be a difference-maker in today’s changing senior industry. In her role, Mary will lead the development of formal processes, production systems, governance and controls for pursuing innovation within HumanGood that generates reliable, repeatable results. She will also help us develop more design thinking training throughout the organization; identify opportunities that lead to a community living experience that better serves residents and is more attractive to prospective residents; and help develop a middle-market prototype that enables us to gauge consumer interest.
Our three-month recruitment process attracted more than 130 candidates, including several with deep experience in managing innovation initiatives and leading change management efforts in large, complex organizations.
Before joining HumanGood, Mary was with Avery Dennison Corporation, a Fortune 500 company and global consumer products organization working across multiple industries. In her nearly 20-year history with Avery Dennison, she developed and launched multi-year change management programs around wellness and guided new business development efforts that have generated millions in new revenues. Mary received her MBA from Claremont Graduate University and a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from California State University, Long Beach.
