Home Workouts for Seniors

Written by HumanGood | May 07, 2020

At times like these, when we can’t gather with friends and family over dinner or a walk in the park as we’d like to, we can stay connected and active in other ways—and we’re here to help.

Across HumanGood’s Life Plan Communities, our fitness instructors are recording new classes and sharing prerecorded workouts—and we’re offering them to you! These are workouts for all levels of experience and ability that you can do from the comfort of home.

Sit Buster Stretching

In this Sit Buster Stretching class, Catherine Ferguson, the fitness instructor at Plymouth Village in Redlands, California, delivers an easy, seated workout focused on stretching to relieve stiffness from sitting too long.

Strengthen Your Core

Join Alex Ramirez, a fitness coordinator and trainer at Valle Verde in Santa Barbara, California, for a workout focused on strengthening your core and improving your posture. With standing, sitting and other movements, this class level is intermediate to advanced.

Cardio at Your Own Pace

With an encouraging, move-at-your-own-pace approach, AJ Castillo, the fitness coordinator at The Terraces at San Joaquin Gardens in Fresno, California, delivers a full-body cardio workout. This class can be done while standing or from the comfort of a chair.

Avoid Falls by Improving Balance

Sandi Anderson, the hospitality director of Las Ventanas at Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada, offers simple exercises to help older adults improve their balance, which is so important for fall prevention.

Do you want to live a more active, engaged lifestyle? We offer an all-inclusive lifestyle and the freedom to devote more time and energy to your passions and hobbies—all while leaving the maintenance and upkeep to us.
