Resident Shares Memories From 1941 With Senior Correspondent

Written by HumanGood | Feb 20, 2017

Resident Bob Larsen was recently featured for the third time in Senior Correspondent which frequently publishes our residents' stories.

In his current article, Bob recalls the days when his family would drive in to Lincoln, Nebraska. Since Bob's father was working on his master's degree at the University of Nebraska, symphony concerts were free to the family. At 5 years old, Bob grew to love classical music. One Sunday after intermission, the second half of the concert was cancelled when the conductor announced the attack on Pearl Harbor.

To learn more about the Larsen family's experience on this day, read Bob's full article, December 7, 1941, here.

Our community will continue to be a contributor to this media company, celebrating the stories of older adults and enriching reporting.
