For the past two years, residents Sally Dunn and Mary Alice Bueser have taken a 20-minute drive north every week to drop off boxes and bags of clothing, toiletries, food and other needed supplies at the Transform Burien, a community resource center for some of Seattle’s most vulnerable.
The weekly delivery has offered these ladies an amazing opportunity to benefit others, said Dunn in an interview with Westside Seattle. Since she moved into Judson Park in 2016, she searched for meaningful ways to give back.
Supporting the homeless “really resonated with Mary Alice and me, and we knew it would have a real impact on an issue affecting our community,” Dunn said.
